Greetings Families,
This is a difficult time in our nation and community. Although there are many challenges that we are facing right now, I hope that you and your children are feeling supported and successful as we move into our distance learning plan.
Most students will be accessing distance learning online through Google Classroom as well as working with supplemental learning packets. Either way, your teachers are working very hard to deliver high quality instruction and assignments while we are away from the building.
Attached you will find the new Crestview Heights Distance Learning Schedule that we will be using for the remainder of the year. To create this schedule, we used the Oregon Department of Education’s guidance and an understanding that our time needs to be highly flexible to ensure everyone has access to the lessons and teacher assistance.
There is a FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) sheet to answer some of your questions but I am sure that you have plenty more. Teachers are working to connect with each of you and will continue to be in communication weekly through the end of the year. In addition, each certified staff member will hold office hours so that you have the best time to call and ask any questions that you have. All teachers are regularly checking email and their Remind account. Please be in touch with us so we can support you.
Distance Learning for All begins for Crestview Heights on Monday, April 20th. The first week of lessons are designed to help students transition from traditional school to our new distance learning platform. Most lessons will focus on teaching students the “how to’s” and expectations of distance learning, with lots of student practice in new systems and processes. As the weeks continue, the lessons will take the shape of typical content lessons.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we learn together to do school differently. Our office is available via email and phone to take your questions and provide assistance. Although this is not the school we wish we had, I am happy that teaching and learning will go on for students.

Este es un momento difícil en nuestra nación y comunidad. Aunque hay muchos desafíos que enfrentamos en este momento, espero que usted y sus hijos se sientan apoyados y exitosos a medida que avanzamos con nuestro plan de aprendizaje a distancia.
La mayoría de los Estudiantes accederán a la educación a distancia en línea a través de Google Classroom asi como con paquetes de aprendizaje complementarios. De cualquier manera, sus maestros están trabajando muy duro para brindar instrucción y tareas de alta calidad mientras estamos fuera del edificio.
Adjunto encontraran el nuevo Crestview Heights Horario para aprendizaje a Distancia que usaremos para el resto del año. Para crear este horario, utilizamos la orientación del Departamento de Educación de Oregón y entendimos que nuestro tiempo debe ser muy flexible para garantizar que todos tengan acceso a las lecciones y la asistencia de los maestros.

Aprendizaje a Distancia para Todos comienza para Crestview Heights el lunes 20 de abril. La primera semana de clases está diseñada para ayudar a los estudiantes a pasar de la escuela tradicional a nuestra nueva plataforma de aprendizaje a distancia.
